Twitter Updates

Scott Spaid is an entrepreneur at his core and has navigated Mediapulse through intense change since the dawn of the Internet. Inventor of PulseTracker®, a patented visitor analytics system, Scott has a passion for great design and providing tools that measure Internet marketing effectiveness.

Scott's experience started in the restaurant industry where he learned to multi-task. After that he became interested in design and worked for a print publisher in Nashville for several years. In the early nineties, after straining his back and becoming immobilized for a week, Scott discovered the Internet and was hooked. The thinking went, "Hey, this is just like what I do now except without a printing press!" So, with $5,000 and a head full of ideas, Mediapulse was born.

An Internet marketing expert, Scott is a regular speaker for local and regional organizations such as:

  • University of Tennessee Advertising & Public Relations
  • Blount County Chamber of Commerce
  • Appalachian Regional Commission
  • American Marketing Association
  • Public Relations Society of America
  • National Association of Women Highway Safety Leaders
  • East Tennessee Technology Council
  • American Disc Jockey Association

Scott is currently the Director of Technology for the Knoxville American Marketing Association and a member of BNI. When not online, Scott enjoys hiking, playing guitar, eating good food, Dodger baseball, SEC football, movies, and listening to music. Scott wishes In-n-Out Burgers would come to Tennessee or at least same day ship a Double Double Animal Style to him right now.

Originally from Los Angeles, Scott is a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, where he earned a BBA in Marketing.
