ETEDA Website Wins SEDC Award

Friday November 07, 2008

ETEDA has been awarded the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC) Merit Award for its regional website,, which was created by Mediapulse Web Design. The awards were given as part of the SEDC 2008 Literature and Promotions Competition. Only two awards were given for state, local, and regional economic development websites in the large budget (over $500,000) division.

The ETEDA website is the primary regional interface and marketing tool for the 15-county East Tennessee region.

The strategic co-located economic development team of ETEDA, ECD and TVA has created a single point of contact for the region, providing local and regional data critical to the site selection process through our website to consultants and corporate decision makers.

User friendly and easily updated demographic information, maps and available buildings and sites are key elements on the site.

The SEDC is the oldest and largest regional economic development association in North America with members in 17 states in the South.
